Reba Hervas
Founder & President
Reba founded Overshadowed Theatrical Productions in 2004 after a background in education and church ministry. She earned a degree in Speech Education from Bob Jones University.
As Founder & President, Reba continues to lead Overshadowed with a desire to create theatre that is family-friendly, inspiring, and grounded in the organization’s Christian mission.

Christy Dille earned a degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her experience includes homeschooling, teaching physics and high school math, and serving on the boards of two homeschool co-ops.
Christy and her family have participated in Overshadowed since 2011 through productions, camps, and behind-the-scenes volunteering. She has led hair and makeup design for many shows and values Overshadowed’s commitment to family-friendly, high-quality theatre.
Al Gorr brings an extensive IT and technical background to his service with Overshadowed. He has contributed to productions through both technical work and onstage performance.
His earlier community involvement included leading worship at Parkview Community Church and First Baptist Church of Wheaton. Al enjoys supporting Overshadowed’s work from both sides of the stage.
Charles Hervas is a graduate of Bob Jones University and the DePaul University College of Law. His legal practice focuses on defending local government and law-enforcement officials in civil-rights matters in federal and state courts.
His public-service experience includes work as a Village Attorney, eight years on a local School Board, and 3½ years as an Alderman on the Des Plaines City Council.
Michael Larsen is Overshadowed’s Technical Director & Director of Guest Relations, as currently published on the Staff page. He brings a long technical and management background to his work with the theatre.
Michael believes Overshadowed gives people of all ages an opportunity to use their God-given talents while creating high-quality, family-friendly theatre.
Karen Mauriello has supported Overshadowed since her introduction to the theatre through the 2014 production of White Christmas. As she came to understand the value of its mission and the strength of its community, she felt called to help the theatre continue to thrive.
Karen hopes to bring creativity, support, and discernment to the Board as Overshadowed expands its vision while maintaining its Biblical principles.
