the story
After a tragedy, James is forced to live with his cruel aunts. The days feel long, the world feels small, and there is no clear way out. Then a peach begins to grow. Not just a piece of fruit, but a doorway.
Inside it, James finds unusual companions who are just as in need of belonging as he is. What follows is a journey that is strange, funny, and at times a little frightening. It's an adventure that will forever change how James sees the world and himself.
James and the Giant Peach -TYA is another whimsical tale from the mind of Roald Dahl (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) that explores a boy's quiet courage as he discovers that life can become something more than what he has been given.
