The people inside the stories.
A note from our Artistic Director
“As I’ve been planning this season, I’ve caught myself thinking less about the shows and more about the people inside them.”
Friends following after God, no matter the cost. A man wondering if his life mattered. A boy feeling forgotten. A woman making a choice she can't take back. Passengers embarking on an adventure, not realizing how much is about to change.
They wouldn't call themselves extraordinary. They are simply living, trying to do what is right, trying to hold things together, and trying to understand where their life is leading.
In Flame of Fire, missionaries pursue faithfulness when the outcome is unknown. In It's a Wonderful Life, a man learns to see life differently. In James and the Giant Peach-TYA, a boy discovers he is not as alone as he thought. In The Stranger, a choice reveals more than anyone expected. In Titanic: The Musical, ordinary lives confront a moment beyond anyone's control.
These familiar stories are what drew me to this season. These are real people who did not see themselves as remarkable, and yet lived with a kind of conviction that continues to speak long after they are gone.
I don't see this season as something we simply present to you. I see it as something we walk through together. It's a chance to see these lives unfold, and maybe recognize pieces of our own journey along the way. To laugh, to sit in the harder moments, and to leave with something that lingers a little longer than you expected.
This is your invitation to experience this season together with us. I would love for you to be part of it.
