About the Class
Build musical theatre skills through a story they already love.
Students ages 12–16 use songs, scenes, and choreography from the Broadway musical The Wizard of Oz to develop acting, singing, and dance skills.
Each two-hour class combines acting exercises, vocal technique, and Broadway-style dance while building confidence, coordination, teamwork, and stage presence. The 10-week session culminates in a short showcase for friends and family.

Acting exercises & scenes
Practice performance choices through acting exercises and favorite scenes from The Wizard of Oz.
Ensemble storytelling
Strengthen teamwork, creativity, and expressive storytelling with other performers.
Songs & vocal technique
Learn songs from the Broadway musical while developing vocal technique.
Confidence & stage presence
Develop the confidence and stage presence to communicate clearly in performance.
Broadway-style dance
Build coordination through choreography and musical-theatre dance numbers.
Experience Expectations
A place to build your skills.
This class has no prerequisites. Sessions are described as upbeat and supportive, with students practicing acting, singing, and dance together.
